Twenty One Pilots‘ Scaled and Icy debuted atop Billboard‘s Top Rock Albums Chart dated June 5, earning the band their third No. 1 on the list.
The album also hit the top spot on the Alternate Albums chart dated June 5.
According to MRC Data, Scaled and Icy earned 75,000 equivalent album units in the track week ending May 27. Out of that, album sales comprise 51,000, while 24,000 are via streaming-equivalent albums (SEA), with a nominal amount from track-equivalent albums (TEA).
The streaming count grants Scaled and Icy the biggest week for a rock album released in 2021. Also, it’s the best week for a rock album in its debut frame since Miley Cyrus‘ Plastic Hearts logged 39,000 streams to top the chart dated Dec. 12.
Twenty One Pilots had earlier topped the Top Rock Albums and Alternate Albums Charts with Trench (2018) and Blurryface (2015) hitting the No. 1 spot on debut.
