Shawn Mendes has postponed the launch of the U.K. and European leg of his “Wonder: The World Tour” due to Covid-19.

The U.K. and Europe leg of the tour, scheduled to kick off in March, has been rescheduled to 2023. The Canadian singer said it was a really difficult decision to make.

“With all of the logistical, travel and venue restrictions still uncertain in Europe due to the pandemic, we were forced to make the tough decision of moving the tour leg to the end of the tour when we are confident we are able to travel and can put on the best possible show we want to, safely and at full capacity,” he said in a statement posted on social media.

Mendes said he is working on “a ton of new music” to perform on the tour, which is named after his 2020 album, Wonder.

Mendes made it clear that there will be no change in the North American leg of the tour, beginning on June 27, 2022.
