Roddy Ricch To Be Replaced By Bleachers On ‘SNL’ Due To Covid Exposure

Roddy Ricch will not make an appearance as musical guest on this week’s “Saturday Night Live” due to Covid-19 exposure.

Ricch will be replaced by the indie pop band Bleachers, who will be making their “SNL” debut this weekend.

West Side Story’s Ariana DeBose hosts the first “SNL” episode of 2022, scheduled to be broadcast on NBC at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT.

“Due to recent COVID-19 exposure on my team and to keep everyone safe I won’t be able to perform on SNL this weekend,” Ricch wrote on his Instagram Story on Wednesday.

He added, “I’m working with the SNL team to lock in a new date though! LOVE, STAY SAFE.”

Bleachers, fronted by Grammy winning singer-songwriter Jack Antonoff, shared the flyer to their Instagram page, poking fun at the title of their latest album, Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night.
