This month, rising star Olivia Rodrigo is celebrating the first anniversary of her hit single “Drivers License.”

Rodrigo share an Instagram post with a one-year-old black and white video where she could be seen singing the song, saying, “happy first birthday to the little song that changed my whole life. I made this video a day or two after I wrote drivers license in my living room (with a very squeaky sustain pedal lol).”

“crazy to think how quickly life changes. thank u to everyone who has supported me so tenderly. music is the most magical thing in the world,” she added.

The song was out on January 8 last year and was a chart-topper on the Billboard Hot 100 for eight consecutive weeks. Her debut album, Sour, also topped the Billboard 200 for five weeks and was picked by the Billboard staff as the best album of 2021.
