Nicki Minaj Apologizes For Postponing Show After Amsterdam Arrest

Nicki Minaj has offered apologies to fans for postponing her weekend concert in the U.K. after she was taken into custody over possessing drugs in Amsterdam.

The rapper was scheduled to perform at Manchester’s Co-op Live as part of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour on Saturday.

Before boarding a flight at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, Minaj was ushered out of her vehicle by police saying she was being arrested, alleging that she was carrying drugs.

Minaj denied the allegation. She was later released after paying a fine, reports say.

Minaj went live on Instagram and broadcast the footage of the incident.

“Please please please accept my deepest & most sincere apologies,” Minaj wrote on X. She said she was confined to a jail cell for 5-6 hours, adding that she has arrived in Manchester.

The 41-year-old artist has now announced the Manchester show has been rescheduled for Monday, June 3rd.

“So JUNE 3rd is the new official date for all ticket holders who originally had tickets to the MAY 25th #Manchester show,” Minaj tweeted. “I apologize for all the inconvenience this has caused.”

She added, “I really hope you can make the #JUNE3rd show. It’ll be really special. Ticketmaster will contact you to advise officially.”
