Nelly was arrested at the Hollywood Casino in St. Charles, Missouri early Wednesday morning, with the rapper allegedly taken for possession of four ecstasy pills and for not having insurance. A spokesperson with the state highway patrol confirmed that Nelly was arrested inside the St. Louis area casino, at 4:45 a.m., following an identification verification check that was run on the three-time Grammy winner. The Missouri State Highway Patrol found that Nelly had an outstanding warrant for lack of insurance associated with a previous highway stop, and as Nelly was being searched by officers, they discovered he was in possession of ecstasy pills. Nelly, whose given name is Cornell Iral Haynes Jr., was eventually booked at the Maryland Heights Police Department and later released. The rapper has not officially been charged, and his representatives have not released a statement regarding the arrest. (New York Post)
