Pop superstar Justin Timberlake recently dropped a new single, called “Selfish.”
“If they saw what I saw/ They would fall the way I fell/ They don’t know what you want/ And, baby I would never tell,” he sings in the song. “‘Cause Your lips were made for mine/ And my heart would go flatline/ If it wasn’t beating for you all the time.”
Timberlake co-wrote the song with Louis Bell, Cirkut, Theron Thomas and Amy Allen and he co-produced the track with Bell and Cirkut.
The single is accompanied by a video directed by Bradley J. Calder. It focuses on Timberlake, who enters a small door on a soundstage that transports him into a hallway in which he appears as a giant scrambling to answer a red phone on the far wall.
Timberlake debuted “Selfish” earlier this month at an intimate Memphis show.
Timberlake recently announced his sixth album, Everything I Thought It Was, a follow-up to his fifth studio album, 2018’s Man of the Woods.
