Jennifer Lopez recently shared the video for “Rebound,” a song from her recently released studio album This Is Me. Now.
The video arrives as an extended edit from the Prime Video film This Is Me.Now: A Love Story, directed by Dave Meyers.
“When you watch my Amazon Original, This Is Me.Now: A Love Story, you will see Rebound, and the performance is one of my favorites,” Lopez wrote on Twitter earlier in the week. “It’s painful, and emotional, but the glass house metaphor is so impactful and raw.”
In the video, Lopez is shown to be in an abusive relationship with a partner, played by dancer Gilbert Saldivar. Lopez is litteraly chained to her partner but ultimately breaks the chain and shatters the walls of their glass house.
The projects are inspired by Lopez’s past relationships and her love story with her husband, actor Ben Affleck.
Meanwhile, the singer is set to release The Greatest Love Story Never Told, a documentary following the making of her This is Me…Now album and film on Prime Video on February 27.
