Cardi B has revealed plans to drop her highly anticipated sophomore album, a follow-up to Invasion of Privacy, in 2022.
Cardi announced the big update during a 13-minute video posted on Instagram.
“Everything be looking so glamorous, you see my f**king Instagram and everything, but it’s been really. it’s been a lot,” Cardi said in the clip. “Trying to balance out my new motherf**ing life, like I got two kids, my daughter’s going to school now and I have like a lot of jobs now.”
She revealed that the follow-up to her smash 2018 debut album, Invasion of Privacy, will drop next year.
“On top of that I gotta put out this album next year,” she said. “Not only do I gotta put out an album, but I gotta record a movie, I’ve got to do so much s-t y’all!”
Cardi is set to appear in comedy movie Assisted Living, in which she will portray Amber, a small-time crook who finds herself in over her head when a heist goes wrong. On the run from the cops and her former crew, she struggles to find anywhere to hide.
The rapper also recently scored her third Diamond certification after “I Like It,” featuring J Balvin and Bad Bunny, was certified 10x-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
