Authorities in Buenos Aires have raided the CasaSur Palermo Hotel where Liam Payne fell to his death on October 16. Argentine newspaper La Nacion reports that members of the police’s special investigations divisions entered the hotel on Wednesday (October 23) and seized evidence related to their ongoing investigation into the former One Direction singer’s death. Sources revealed to the paper that they were searching specifically for documentation, film records, and video around the time of the incident. Andrés Madrea, the lead on the case for the public prosecutor’s office, requested the raid, and Laura Bruniard, the judge overseeing criminal and “correctional” cases in the area, ordered the raid. Geoff Payne, the singer’s father, arrived in Buenos Aires earlier this week and met with Madrea, with La Nacion reporting that Payne asked Madrea to investigate his son’s death fully while offering to help in any way he could.
