BTS member Jin has announced his first solo single, “The Astronaut,” will be released on October 28 at 1 p.m. KST via BigHit Music.
The K-pop idol also shared the very first logo trailer for the song, which features an astronaut exiting a space station as he floats high above the earth.
“Since it’s a song made with so much love toward the fans, we hope ‘The Astronaut’ can be a gift to all of you,” the entertainment company said. “We also prepared various promotions for the fans throughout the preparation process of this single. Please show a lot of anticipation and support for this promotion, where you can meet various sides of Jin.”
During BTS’ performance at World Expo 2030 Busan, Jin had announced that he would be releasing a solo single soon and revealed a collaboration with a person he adores. Reports suggest that he will be collaborating with the British rock band Coldplay for his first single.
Jin will become the second member of the K-pop group to release solo material. Earlier this summer, J-Hope had released 10-track Jack in the Box, featuring “More” and “Arson.”
