Adele’s ‘Easy On Me’ Tops Billboard Hot 100 For 7th Week

Adele‘s “Easy On Me” has retained its No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart dated December 18, 2021, topping the chart for the seventh total weeks.

Next in line at No. 2 is “All I Want For Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey followed by Brenda Lee‘s “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” at No. 3.

Written in collaboration with the American producer Greg Kurstin, Adele’s first solo release in five years, “Easy On Me” racked up 24 million streams in the U.K. in its very first week, topping Ariana Grande‘s record of 16.9 million set in January 2019 with “7 Rings.”

The song is featured on her latest album, 30, which is also on top of the Billboard 200 chart for the third consecutive weeks, with 193,000 album units sold in the last week.

With the success of “Easy on Me,” preceded by “Hello” from 25 and “Rolling in the Deep” from her album 21, Adele has entered the elite club as the only act to reign the Hot 100 for seven weeks or more with a lead single from three consecutive albums.
