‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ Becomes Ninth Taylor Swift Album To Surpass 2 Million In U.S. Sales

Taylor Swift‘s 1989 (Taylor’s Version) has sold two million copies in the U.S. This is the ninth time that a Swift album has reached the 2 million mark.

The album, released in October, sold 17,000 copies in the January 4-11 tracking week, according to Luminate.

With this, 1989 (Taylor’s Version)‘s total U.S. sales figure rose to 2.014 million. No other album released last year has sold 2 million copies in the U.S.

Eight other Swift albums that joined the 2 million club are Fearless (7.285 million), 1989 (6.472 million), her self-titled album (5.871 million), Speak Now (4.817 million), Red (4.582 million), Midnights (2.814 million), Reputation (2.478 million), and Folklore (2.289 million).

1989 (Taylor’s Version) is also ranked at No. 1 on Billboard‘s Top Album Sales chart dated January 20.

Her own Midnights (No. 2) and Folklore (No. 3) round out the top three.
