R&B superstar SZA recently dropped a teaser for an upcoming video for her new single “Kill Bill.”
In the 20-second clip, the R&B star can be seen getting ready for revenge. She puts on a red-and-black moto jacket, sheaths a katana and rides off on her motorcycle before “SZA.Kill Bill.A film by Christian Breslauer” is shown across the screen. The teaser ends by showing SZA decapitating a dummy with her sword.
“It’s what y’all deserve,” she tweeted alongside the video using a saluting emoji, SOS sign and white heart.
“Kill Bill” is from SZA’s recently released sophomore studio album, SOS (2022). Mirroring the namesake films’ plot, the song’s lyrics discuss SZA’s fantasy to kill an ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend out of jealousy.
“I might/ I might kill my ex, not the best idea/ His new girlfriend’s next, how’d I get here?/ I might kill my ex, I still love him though/ Rather be in jail than alone,” she sings.
The song was an instant hit, peaking at No. 3 on Billboard Hot 100 and also topped the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
