Cardi B has pulled out from a starring role in Paramount Players’ comedy movie Assisted Living.
The rapper was set to portray Amber, a small-time crook who finds herself in over her head when a heist goes wrong. On the run from the cops and her former crew, she struggles to find anywhere to hide. The $30 million film is produced by Temple Hill and was to be directed by Thembi Banks.
According to Deadline, Paramount Players suspended Assisted Living, just a week before the filming of the $30 million film was to start. The other cast and crew were told that the movie was temporarily scrapped.
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper reportedly pulled out of the Paramount comedy due to being “overextended.” Meanwhile, there is a chance for the studio to file a lawsuit against the singer for her the last-minute decision.
