Adele has created a piece of history as her recently launched album, 30, stays on top of Billboard‘s Top Album Sales chart for six consecutive weeks.

It’s the first album to top the sales chart for so many weeks in a row since 25, by none other than the “Hello” singer herself. 25 led the chart for seven consecutive weeks from December 12, 2015, to January 23, 2016.

With 1.463 million copies sold in 2021 in the U.S. after just six weeks of release, 30 ranked no. 1 on the Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart: a chart that lists the albums, based solely on their traditional album sales.

Its success did not end there because 30 went on to become the biggest selling album of any calendar year in the U.S. since 2018.
