Lil Nas X Hints He Got Covid-19 In Since-Deleted Tweets

Just a few days after having to pull out of Capital FM’s Jingle Ball show in the U.K. when members of his team tested positive for Covid-19, Lil Nas X revealed that he has met with the same fate in a series of since-deleted tweets.

The singer announced his Covid diagnosis on Friday (December 17) while celebrating his single “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” making it to Barack Obama‘s list of favorite songs of the year.

“Started running around the house in excitement when I saw this, then I remembered I have COVID lol,” the deleted tweet read.

In a following light-hearted tweet that confirmed that his condition was well in-control, Lil Nas revealed, “now that i’m sure i won’t die from covid i will now begin making mildly funny jokes about having it.”

Using word play to draw comparisons between the Omicron variant and B2K singer Omarion (Omari Ishmael Grandberry), he wrote, “I’m not sure whether I’ve had the Omarion or Alicia Keys variant of COVID but this has not been a fun journey.”

The “Industry Baby” rapper was caught in quite a mood, despite the illness, when he declared, “i only talk to people who have covid now. u non-covid b*tches need to stfu. us coviders run this sh*t!”

Leaving his fans in stitches, in a rather uninhibited post, Lil Nas wrote, “covid really sucks. last night i was tryna watch porn then i sneezed snot all over penis lmao.”

However, “The Call Me by Your Name” singer deleted most of the tweets soon after, potentially wary of possible criticism, given the gravity of the matter and the graveness of the illness.
